As Bangladesh cross the borders for a T20I and Test series against the formidable Team India, both teams will hope to put cricket on the centre stage. There has been a lot of talk prior to the series and with Bangladesh all-rounder even getting banned just days before the series, India vs Bangladesh 2019 series could just be a big talking point in the sizzling rivalry between the two sides. India have rested captain Virat Kohli for the T20I series. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma who has been in scintillating form across all formats will lead the team in his absence. Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube are the two newcomers to the side while Hardik Pandya who had lower-back surgery in London earlier in October misses out.

For the tests though, India have named an unchanged squad as compared to the series against South Africa except for Shahbaz Nadeem who couldn’t make the cut. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav who missed out on the Proteas series is back and is in contention to face Bangladesh.

Al Amin Hossain who last played for Bangladesh in 2014 also finds a place while Ebadot Hossain who was dropped after the New Zealand tour returns to the squad.
